New Year, New Resolutions: Prioritizing Breast Health

Hello wonderful people!!!  2019 is here! 2018 seemed to fly by so fast! I hope you had a wonderful holiday and cherished friends, family, and other relationships you hold dear. Treasuring relationships is a reminder that life is too short!

I celebrated with my faithful clients at TamBo’s Kitchen. We had a 2-Saturday customer appreciation event. Can’t believe it has been 2 years since the lease was signed. Time propels us forward, and seeing progress and growth is heartwarming.

A Resolution to Nurture Breast Health

As we start the year, I know you all have your plans for 2019 spelled out. Whatever resolutions you have, please include paying attention to your breast health. Do you know that 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer? That is a very scary statistic. Let us do everything in our power to pay attention to breast health.

Empowerment begins with knowledge and action. Take proactive steps to reduce your exposure to toxic chemicals, they are a potential threat to your breast health. Familiarize yourself with the texture and contours of your breasts through regular self breast examinations (SBEs). Remember, nobody knows you like you!

Nurture a Holistic Approach to Well-being

Embrace a lifestyle that nurtures your vitality – eat well, limit your alcohol intake, exercise, and manage stress to safeguard your mental tranquility.  In short, do everything you can to reduce your risk factors.  I can just feel it that 2019 holds the promise of remarkable experiences and growth. I have some things regarding breast cancer awareness and advocacy this year.  It’s still cooking so I cannot tell you everything yet.

I would encourage you to continue watching this space, it will be educative, fun and exciting. Currently I’m also on Instagram TV (IGTV) and my handle is @teewums. Please check that space for my vlogs and other information and how-tos I will put up. In the meantime, please check the other posts I’ve written about my journey with mental health disease and feel free to share them.

xoxo
