Fear of the name.

In some parts of the world, people are afraid to mention the word ‘cancer’. To some folks, the word cancer is synonymous with a death sentence.

Some just call it ‘The C’. Cancer is a league on its own among diseases and it evokes fear and uncertainty. However, it’s time to challenge this perspective and change this narrative

On February 14, 2017, I was diagnosed with an invasive form of breast cancer. Like I jokingly tell folks, Cupid shot me the cancer arrow. Today, I stand to tell you with all confidence that I no longer have evidence of the disease.

Reshaping Perspectives

Cancer should never be a death sentence. It should not evoke fear. I have made it a lifelong mission to join those that have gone ahead of me to lift the veil shrouding this disease. Through sharing my story of survival, I seek to inspire and encourage others who find themselves in a similar fate.

I will be providing tips for thriving during treatment. I would also be dishing out lessons life has taught me. Sit back, grab your popcorn, trail mix, etc. Enjoy!
